Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Brandon Diaz. I grew up in Redding, CA. I joined the United States Army right out of high school for four years, which I spent most of in Germany. During these four years, I was deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom during the war in 2003. I continued to serve our country as an Army Reserves Sargent for the following six years.
Once we moved back to the United States, I started working for Walmart Distribution Center and worked my way up to an area manager. In my eleven years with Walmart, I pursued and completed a Bachelor's degree in Business. Currently, I work full-time as a program analyst for the State Compensation Fund.
My whole life, I felt passionate about fitness and exercise, which led me to become a fitness instructor in the army. I led daily and weekly morning fitness exercises for my platoon and enjoyed them immensely. Once I transitioned out of Walmart's unsustainable work schedule, I could focus more on my fitness goals and becoming a part-time fitness instructor.
I have been teaching Tabata and HIIT classes at the local YMCA for 16 months. I enjoy teaching these high-intensity classes while offering modifications to those working on their fitness goals. Additionally, this past summer, I taught teen group classes and will continue teaching one weekly lesson as school starts.
I am passionate about healthy eating, getting outdoors, and exercise. My routine includes weekly six workout days, daily walking, and weekly hiking with my wife and dog. I also love fishing and gardening.
Sincerely,
Brandon Diaz
