I visited Sandpiper Bay the week of Memorial Day, 2018. I taught an 8am Yoga class on the pool deck overlooking the river and a 5:15pm class in the group fitness studio. I had 15+ participants in each class. Participants varied from beginners to experienced so I was sure to offer plenty of options. I lead a more active/vinyasa styled class in the morning and a gentle restorative type class in the evening. Most of the guests spoke English and French. I had a wonderful time and met lots of very nice people (guests and staff). This resort has plenty of activities to keep you busy (if that's your thing)! The resort is older but very clean and well kept. The buffet has lots of food options and satisfied everyone in my party. I will go back!

I taught a Pilates class at 4:15 and a Yoga class at 5:15 each day. The classes were well attended each day. The yoga class was jam packed every day, often with very little room for anyone else (but no one was turned away). The resort wanted me to teach Pilates since I had experience in that area. The 5:15 was a family yoga class and the participants ranged in age and ability. I also offered to teach the 8:00 am yoga class on the day I was leaving. The resort is very active and mostly occupied by families. Guests as well as staff were super friendly. Most of the participants were new or with limited experience; wanting more of a stretch class than a hard-core workout. Be relaxed and flexible in your teaching so that you and your participants can get the most out of your classes.

Every morning at 8:00 a.m. we met at the Infinity Pool deck for morning yoga with total students ranging from 9-15. Certain days I taught a kids yoga class at 1:00 p.m. ranging from 25-30 children in the cardio center. Days I did not have kids yoga, I had a family yoga class at 5:15 p.m.also in the cardio center which had 3-6 family members. This resort was extremely well organized. Every one on the team of instructors was amazing. The pool dance party every day was fun. The shows they put on every evening were well produced and well attended and then they led the dance party in the bar every night on stage so everyone could see the moves and follow along. If you don't have a good time here, it's your own fault.

I did a variety of classes as part of their Mind & Body weeks. I taught Kids Fit, Boot Camp, Specialty Fitness. Class times were usually 8:45 am, 1 pm, or 3:15 pm. I had anywhere between 2-10 participants. More in the morning, more when it rained. What a great first experience with Fit Bodies! Transfer from airport was great, the resort was fantastic, the classes were a ton of fun. Can't wait to go back to Club Med. Our family had the best trip ever.

Really wonderful staff and guests at this property and I truly enjoyed teaching here! About 8 students per day....morning classes were held outside and the 5 pm classes were inside the fitness studio. This was a lovely property to teach at. The rooms are a bit outdated, though quite large, and the grounds were beautiful as was the location on the bay. I enjoyed teaching near the water in the mornings very much. The food was delicious and the entertainment was awesome. Loved the L'Occitane Spa as well. They could use some new yoga mats and some yoga blocks. Would recommend to other teachers!

Yogis that participated to my classes needed a lot of attention since a lot of them were beginners. This was fine for me because I love to teach to them. I cues from the foundation to the top of the posture. I took my time. It was a gentle flow. I gave them a good savasana at the end. Teaching them to relax and enjoy this posture. I also made sure to start on time and finish on time. I think people love that because they want to enjoy the resort. This was a superb experience for me. I respected the staff, took pride in my work/ teaching practice and made guess feel comfortable when in my class. I also spoke to people when they approached me on the resort. I tried to be optimistic even when it rained. ;))
