Dreams Jade Resort and Spa

I just returned from a great week at Drams Jade. This resort has a local instructor who normally teaches yoga at 8:30 am and Pilates at 9:30 am every day (plus the Entertainment staff teaches Zumba at 11 am and Aqua Aerobics at 12 pm every day), so they asked me to teach the 9:30 am Pilates classes for her Mon-Sat. I was also asked to sub the 11 am Zumba one day. The location for classes here is a gorgeous covered gazebo-style area overlooking the beach and sea – really spectacular. I had 0-4 people daily. The yoga instructor left mats for me, which I then returned to the Entertainment team after class. Resort PROS: Great main pool with lots of areas to hang out. Amazing beach along which you can run for about 15 minutes in one direction. Lots of restaurants and good food (the buffet, especially, is great). Resort CONS: This is an older resort and it shows, especially in the rooms, and it is not as high-end as the newer Dreams resorts (e.g., plastic beach chairs). The buildings are organized like a labyrinth so walking from place to place takes quite a while, even though the resort footprint is not huge. I struggled to get housekeeping on several days and had many issues with the room (balcony door not locking, jacuzzi not working, gecko in the room, housekeeping losing my phone charger which they later found, etc.), though they did all eventually get fixed. Note: I upgraded to the Preferred Club, which gives you access to a second, adults-only pool. However, the main pool is actually very nice and there aren’t a lot of other special Preferred Club amenities here, so compared to some other resorts, the value of being in Preferred Club is not as high here.

I started class at the gym (per the instruction of the entertainment team) and then moved to patio by the beach. I brought my own Bluetooth speaker. The E-Team - They work so hard, was met with smiles and encouragement! Thank you for this opportunity!

The entertainment staff were amazing! All of them were friendly and were so happy I was there. I've been teaching with FitBodies since 2008 and it's always been great. if you put you passion into it, you'll always have a good time. Suzelle, Erica and the team are always so helpful. The mats were in good shape. Taught group exercise in the stone gazebo outside the buffet. Great spot!

Teaching vacations with Fit Bodies is such a blessing! Everything was smooth. Flights, Amstar, check in, etc. Resort had a bag of balls and a few racquets.

Staff and E-team were wonderful. No complaints!! Can't wait to book again - this was my second trip and far from my last. Thank you! Taugth gx in the wedding gazebo. I had mats provided by the resort but based everything on body weight (not equipment) . I brought a bluetooth speaker and used my iphone.

My experience with the hotel staff and entertainment team was absolutely wonderful. They treated us so well. I felt very much at home, and they made me feel like I was important to them. "My teaching vacation was an absolutely wonderful experience. I enjoyed the Mexican people and their culture. I developed fast friendships with the people I taught, and I received 3 invitations to go visit people at their homes - 2 of them were people I taught and another was just a person I met at the resort. One guest invited me to go to the US Open with him and offered to buy the tickets. I had two lessons I taught to Spanish-only speaking girls and I did my very best to teach the lessons in Spanish and I was very pleased with how I did on that. There was a counselor from the Explorer's Club who brought the girls to the lessons and she was present and would help me communicated when necessary. The tennis courts were very nice and in superb shape. They had just been resurfaced 3 weeks before I arrived. I had an amazing time!

I taught tennis on the rooftop courts. They have a hopper with balls and several racquets. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff! A large but nice resort with an excellent staff. The courts are rooftop which can be a challenge for lack of shade, high temperatures, and wind. Water is also a challenge as only small bottles are available. The tennis hopper allows for teaching large groups.

This resort was very comfortable. I taught boot camp 4 times in the week I was there. This took place on the "gazebo" which was a cement platform in the middle of the pool. While it was not the most ideal place for a high impact workout as it was small, hard and slippery, it was still a ton of fun and just a bit of change to my workout plan allowed a fun and safe class. The resort was so easy to navigate and slip right in to vacation mode. The food was quite good and we loved that there were no reservations! This was a great first teaching vacation.

The resort is fantastic! The stuff is unbelievable friendly. Check in and check out was very fast. Classes were fun, location of the classes were great too, and the E team left it up to me where I wanted to teach my classes. Great experience over all.

Teaching with Fit Bodies was an incredible experience. The entertainment staff was very enthusiastic and helpful with my classes. It was a great experience for me as an instructor and a great opportunity for my guests too.

I personally loved teaching at this property! I appreciated meeting with Luigi (Entertainment team) and him showing me around when we arrived as well as the first morning I taught. He was so nice to me and my family. He and the entire staff were awesome! So welcoming!

Boot camp and yoga cardio sculpt. Boot camp well attended at the gym. Too hot outside for other class so took them inside. So many activities going on at the resort needed more marketing of Fitbodies classes!! Entertainment staff was very helpful though and friendly! Love teaching with Fitbodies!
