Yoga is in the gazebo. I brought a speaker. Less interaction with entertainment staff than years past. Maybe because yoga classes at 7 am and 8 am before they arrive. They never ask how many people came or how was class. Seems very hands off. Thanks so much. That was my 21st trip!

Yoga classes are in the gazebo overlooking the ocean. It's amazing place to teach! The food was great! Staff were excellent overall with a few standouts, especially the staff at the Oceana restaurant. The food service staff were amazing! Several of the bellhop staff members knew my name almost immediately, which was impressive. One of the staff members who was always out early in the morning helped my find my lost sunglasses one day, which was so nice of her as I love those sunglasses and still had half a sunny vacation left. Thanks for all you do Fitbodies!

I taught cycling in the Cycle Studio in the Gym- Dedicated cycle studio with 7 high end bikes I brought speakers and used my iPhone with Spotify. Everything made sense. I wasn’t sure what I was going to be teaching until I arrived and met with the manager, but that was no big deal. Knowing the details in advance would have been nice if possible. They remembered me and my guest every time, even the ones not involved in my classes. Super accommodating. Checked in on me every day to see if I needed anything. Thanks for offering this! We had a great time and look forward to the next one!

This is an amazing experience. Love the resort. I taught yoga on the platform by the pool. Before class I walked around and introduced myself to guests while inviting them to join class. I loved teaching on vacation!

No suggestions. Everything was fantastic! I'll book again within 3-6 months. The ETeam and especially, Mauricio, helped make me feel welcomed. They are an amazing staff! I had a lovely time teaching yoga overlooking the Sea. Classes were well attended all 12 of them! Beautiful resort and will return!

Thank you! As always a great vacation! Love teaching and vacationing with Fit Bodies! Secrets Playa Mujeres is awesome. Taught two back to back yoga classes at 7 and 8 am Mon - Sat. Very smooth. No problems. I used my own phone and speaker for class. Yoga is held in the wedding gazebo. Plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate - a wonderful vacation.

All the staff were amazing and helpful. I met the E-team manager on Sunday afternoon then only saw them as we were putting the mats away each morning. Both my classes were completed before the E-team started for the day. Teaching yoga in the wedding gazebo, at 7 and 8 am, was an awesome way to start my day. My husband and I carried the mats from the E-team hut to the gazebo and returned them after the 2nd class. The E-team doesn't arrive until 9:00 am. Then, I was free to enjoy the rest of my day! We did a lot of beach walking and played golf 3 days. We wanted to take the ferry to the Isla Mujeres but it was too windy for the boat taxi to the ferry. The pool area does get really busy and noisy. We spent most of our time by the beach. Golf carts are always around to drive you up to the restaurants and the lobby. We walked through the Dreams side but then stays on the Secrets side. Thanks Fit Bodies for another successful trip! We went through Mexican customs surprising fast. Our transfer was ready and we were at the resort in no time!

Hotel staff were amazing. It’s a beautiful resort and such a pleasure teaching there! Very safe with covid protocols and a lot of cleaning. The guests enjoy yoga. Don’t worry about music – nature has great sounds with class outdoors!

I taught yoga at the Secrets Playa Mujeres resort for a week on Jan. 30, 2022. This Secrets and the adjacent Dreams are absolutely beautiful! The grounds are lush and park like! I felt like I was in Hawaii! Yoga was taught daily at 7:00am and 8:00am. No one came to the 7:00 class all week. The 8:00 class had between 5-15 attendees daily. Only two first timers to yoga each day. A pretty fit crowd. I had to pick up mats from inside the entertainment hut each morning and return them afterwards. I would also pick up bottles of water from the Coco cafe for class. There was a clean and dirty towel bin next to the yoga palapa. We went on a 9:30 Fred guided bike ride one day from the check in desk at Secrets. Nice bikes, a helmet and a guide. We were able to see the golf course and more beautiful park like grounds on the 45 minute moderate level ride. Bikes had gears. Two days we took the catamaran out for a half hour. We participated in aqua aerobics a couple of times. We enjoyed the Brazilian Steakhouse, Gaucho, at Dreams one night. We loved the Secrets Market Cafe buffet every day for breakfast. Incredible selection! Ice cream shop at Dreams was a nice treat in the afternoon. We alternated sitting by the Dreams pool and Secrets. The children at Dreams were. Wet well behaved. We enjoyed the Dreams water slides (2) that were safe and clean. Dreams also has a lazy River with immaculate rafts. My partner worked out in the Secrets gym daily. Victor, the attendant was friendly and helpful. Drinks were never empty at either resort pool. Beaches were beautiful. Wonderful, relaxing teaching vacation! Thank you Suzelle and Fit Bodies for another incredible vacation!
Covid tests to get back to the USA were conducted the day before we flew home. Results were obtained in less than ten minutes. Make your reservation for the tests online on the resort app. The only dinner reservations that was needed was for the teppanayaki table in Hitmisu. I had to go online on the app at noon for same day online reservation. It was easy to do. I would love to come back!

This was my first teaching vacation, which I did August 1-8, 2021. Not knowing exactly what to expect of a teaching vacation or an all inclusive resort (this was my first time for both!) I'd have to say this exceeded my expectations. I taught at 7AM and 8AM at the Wedding Gazebo and had anywhere from 1 to 7 people for each class. My first day my one person for both classes was my husband, but after talking it up some more and posting on the resort's Facebook fan page it picked up, and I had a lot of repeats! After meeting the e-Team they were pretty hands off; I set up and put away all the mats (a beach bag is helpful for this), but the mat storage was just on the other side of the pool from the yoga area so it wasn't a big deal. If you want to use music (I opted not to) bring your own Bluetooth speaker because there isn't audio set up by the yoga area. One thing to note, the mats are very old and the ground is very unforgiving so I suggested to students to double up mats and I'd pick up a couple beach towels if people wanted that. So when planning classes I'd rethink long periods of time on the knees.
As for COVID precautions, when we were there I felt VERY safe. Staff were all in masks, we weren't on top of each other at restaurants, hand sanitizer was readily available, etc. The staff keep that resort SPOTLESS. I'd definitely recommend this experience!

I had an experience that I'd like to share to put people's mind at ease should an emergency come up. I had a surgery a few days before I traveled to remove a melanoma off my chest. It was a third surgery as they do a slow MOHS procedure. The wound was left open as I didn't know if there would have to be more surgery (there was). When I taught my first class on Monday I had one gal who hadn't done yoga in awhile so I did a gentle yoga and stretching class. All was fine till we were on our stomachs doing some stretches and I raised up to discover my entire mat full of blood! The gal was awesome and couldn't have been nicer- walking me back to where my husband was. The E team immediately called medical and it was determined I need to go to the hospital. I was transferred by ambulance and received AWESOME care! They helped us get a hold of our insurance and work out the details. We ended up paying the ER bill and our insurance should reimburse. The entire ER bill was $500. I felt completely safe and well taken care of so I want people to know that if an emergency comes up, you are in great hands! Gabrielle on the E-team insisted I take a couple days off so I returned to teaching on Thursday where I "talked" them thru the class from a seated position. Everyone was very understanding and I even received my first tip for teaching! I cannot stress enough how sweet everyone was! Missy from Fitbodies also called to check on me. I am beyond grateful for the wonderful care and support from all parties involved! This was a trip to remember! From an early ER visit that couldn't have gone better to the great support not only from the resort staff but Fitbodies too! I am beyond grateful and blessed!
Customs was a breeze. Resort staff were awesome and helpful!

I taught yoga in the gazebo, poolside. I thought over all the hotel staff was very nice and welcoming and a couple of the ET guys were great and very welcoming! I really loved the property at Secrets Playa Mujeres, it's lush and spread out, which is great for me because I love to walk. The resort was not at full capacity and may have contributed to the classes having low attendance but the guests that joined were appreciative of the opportunity. It's always fun meeting new people and sharing my passion for yoga with them. Dylan and Angel on the entertainment staff are great and helped make my trip extra fun. I joined in on their water aerobics and arts and crafts activities which they really appreciated. I am already looking forward to my next trip. Travel, be safe and have fun! This was my second trip since resorts have reopened and everything worked pretty smoothly. Nothing notable. Easy to get through customs, transportation to and from resort, etc.

Yoga class is held in wedding gazebo and they have mats and towels and cleaner. I used my phone with downloaded music and the bluetooth speaker I bring along. Class was promoted with my flyer, social media and verbally to guests by me and E-Team staff. I love having both resorts for dining.

I taught an “all-levels friendly” yoga class at 9 am each morning. The first two mornings I only had one student, and then W-Sat I had between 3 and 12. I had several beginners/first-timers, but also many experienced yogis, ranging in age from 20s to 60s. I had lots of great feedback from students each day. It was a wonderful experience!

I taught an all levels Hatha Yoga class sometimes a flow class depending on the ability levels of the participants the time. There were consistently 20 to 30 people in the class. The ages range 35 to 55, with beginners as well as advanced practitioners. About half the class spoke French and the other spoke English, so I did the class consistently with them. The people were friendly and usually the same people were coming to class throughout the week. Mikah from the GO staff was really helpful, when we arrived he met us there and gave me a tour of the property and got us all set up in our room. I felt very comfortable and I truly enjoyed the stay. I will happily go back again.

I went to the entertainment palapa every morning to get the yoga mats. Class was 9-10am Mon-Sat. Class size 2-8, with participants ranging in age from 30’s -60’s. Most class members had some yoga experience, maybe a couple of newbies. I taught a gentle flow class (suitable for all fitness levels) which included a lot of stretching towards the end of each class.
This is a great resort! Fun entertainment team, great food, beautiful (and swimmable) beach. Also, you have access to the Dreams resort right next door, which had some great restaurants and even an ice cream parlor! I wouldn’t hesitate to visit SPM (or for that matter, Dreams PM) again!
Honestly, the only problem we encountered was mosquitoes. We were told that they can be bad this time of year. Knowing that, I did pack plenty of OFF. They usually didn’t bother us too much during yoga, but I always brought my OFF and offered it to the class participants. One day when they were pretty bad, we did quit a few minutes early. This was my 6th teaching vacation, and sometimes you do have “challenges” during your classes. I’ve just learned to be more flexible and “go with the flow”. That being said, I think I've become a better instructor thanks to different experiences I’ve encountered on my teaching vacations!

Taught over the Halloween week. One yoga class at 9.00 AM at the wedding gazebo. Class size increased from 2 to 11. Nice beach and good food. Entertainment team were super fun. I recommend that you take bug spray as mosquitoes are often bad here. Other than that - a great resort.

I taught yoga at this WONDERFUL resort in June 2019. One class (45-60 min depending on the sun/heat) at 9 am at the wedding pavilion. I would highly recommend a teaching vacation at SPM to anyone considering it. A few thoughts: The entertainment team manager, Gabriel, is great! On Sunday when we arrived, he showed me where mats are kept for me to carry over to class location. A few mornings the supply closet was still locked, so I called the concierge for an e-team member to open it for me. My classes had between 2-12 students each morning. I had several people with yoga experience, but more were beginners, for sure. I went for a 'gentle flow' feel for my classes. I also joined the Facebook 'fan page' groups for the resort and promoted my classes that way. Those groups are also great if you have questions about the resort. I can't wait to come back!

Another wonderful Secrets property. Taught one class at 9am. Very well attended 15-20 yoga participants daily, gorgeous weather but it did get quite hot by 9:40-45. Definitely hot yoga by then! Resort is beautiful, the golf carts to get to gym, restaurants, and Desires were always quick to arrive. Food was great! Lots of exciting fun entertainment both at the pool in the afternoon and in the evening as well. Beach was well maintained and ocean swimmable. Great resort!

Taught yoga week of 4/28/19. 9am class (did 45 mins because the sun gets so intense at gazebo location). Wonderful resort. Beach, pool, room and service was top notch. Good food and top shelf liquor. Weather was perfect and no bugs! Long, beautiful white sand beach!

I experienced my first teaching vacation at this fabulous resort April 7-14 and enjoyed every minute!
Upon arriving at the resort, I did request an upgrade, but was told they were at near capacity for the week. My husband and I were told we could check back later in the week to make another request if we would like. We ended up staying in the same room for the week. The person checking us in directed me to speak to the concierge regarding my inquiry to meet with someone from the Entertainment Team to discuss details of my responsibilities for the week teaching yoga. She seemed confused, but after a couple phone calls, she was able to connect me to Gabriel, the head of the resort's Entertainment Team. I met with Gabriel a couple hours later after my husband and I got settled in our room and got a bite to eat. He talked to me briefly about teaching yoga, showed me where the yoga mats were, and answered my questions about my responsibilities. He told me to teach my class daily at 9am and said I could decide how long to teach the class.
The first day I taught a 60 minute class. Subsequent days, I taught 45 minutes because I felt 60 min got a little too long. I had 10-20 people daily, often the same people attending my class every morning. The students' abilities varied quite a bit, so you have to be comfortable providing a lot of cueing and adjusting your class and offering modifications. The students were so pleasant to teach! Many approached me and complemented me on my class which was so nice.
We had a few days in which it was extremely windy, which posed a challenge keeping the yoga mats and towels in place, but everyone tolerated this. The ocean backdrop was gorgeous!
I usually went down to the location where I was teaching yoga about 30 minutes before the start of class. My hubby attended my classes and helped me every morning to gather all the yoga mats and towels to bring to the area. I always asked the bartender for 6 or so bottles of water to have on hand to offer people who didn't bring their own. After class, my husband and I brought the yoga mats back to storage and I asked the students to kindly dispose of their water bottles and towels. One morning a person from the Entertainment team helped me return the mats.
The resort was lovely! I enjoy the beach the most and it was gorgeous. We never had trouble finding a beach chair. Bar service at the beach was great.
By very early morning, all the pool chairs were "reserved" by people playing the towel game. This is very common at resorts like this and is annoying, in my opinion, but I wasn't surprised.
We enjoyed the food at all the restaurants and the service was always spectacular.
We noticed that not many people tipped here, but we always bring over $100 worth of 5's and 1's to tip the maid, bartenders, waiters, bell-staff, etc... The employees work so hard and deserve the tips.
Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first teaching vacation!
I can't wait to do another, and, although I want to check out other resorts/countries, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Secrets Playa Mujeres!

Just returned from teaching at Secrets Playa Mujeres. Second time teaching at this resort - (Three years ago when I taught, I was scheduled to teach two morning back to back yoga classes); this time - February, 2019 - they scheduled only one yoga class at 9AM every morning. The classes were well attended, and the participants are from both Secrets and Dreams (next door). It's a great location to teach , as it overlooks the beach. If it rains, the yoga is held in the covered gazebo (where they keep the mats - It's a small area, but not as many people come out when it rains.) The resort advertises the 9AM yoga class on the ipad, and on the daily activity boards. They also put up the fit bodies poster advertising the class - which was nice. I loved this resort, food was excellent, beach is beautiful - great for long walks and fun for swimming. It is also nice to have access next door. Thank you.
