I began practicing yoga in northern California 13 years ago. After moving to Long Beach in 2000 I began taking classes at Yoga World Stuido; and began studying under Gabriel Hall. After taking a teacher training with Erich Schiffman, I started teaching at Yoga World on a regular basis. In 2005 I moved to New York City where I took classes at Om yoga and Jivamukti on a regular basis. I also taught yoga at New York University while in graduate school. After moving back to Long Beach in 2007, she began teaching at Yoga World again. Currently I teach 6 yoga classes each week. I teach basic and introductory classes, all level classes, and flow classes.

I design my classes to accommodate all who come to the studio—whether it’s a person’s first time in a yoga class or they’re seasoned yoga students. I like to offer variations for each asana (posture) so that each person gets out of the class what they need. Whether I'm teaching a flow class or a basic class I teach safety in the poses; and likes to encourage my students to find a connection with their breath and body; and to have fun with their practice. I believe that each student needs to find what feels right for their body and to know that there is no “perfect” pose.

Besides being a yoga instructor, I am a college professor. I have a Master's degree in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU. I teach speech communication classes at Chapman University and Loyola Marymount University.
