I have been a cycling instructor for a total of 15 years and as of this date have instructed over 2200 classes with a current class schedule of 7 classes per week.  Instructing is my part time job but I must say that I truly enjoy it. (Senior Lab Technician in the Cancer/Obesity field is my full time profession).  Meeting people and motivating them is wonderful.  I sell out frequently so the members really seem to enjoy my style and my music.  I am also a competitive Expert Mountain Biker and compete in Endurance Racing so I enjoy including determination, style, form, drive, fun and enthusiasm in all my classes.  Two of my favorite in class motivational expressions that may help describe my personality and always said with a smile on my face is "Make me proud.....Make yourself proud!!" and "Hate me now, love me later!!"  Anytime Fitness has also allowed me these past two years to teach a class I call "Spin Plus".  What these classes entail are a mat beside the bike so that while I teach my cycling class I will have the members safely get off their bike and follow me in push ups, leg lunges, squats, ab routines, yoga positions, pilate positions, etc and then right back onto the bike to mimic the intensity of my Endurance Races.  It has become a very popular class and truly is labelled a full body workout.  For the last two years I have also been instructing Group Fitness Classes for Muscle Conditioning.  These classes utilize dumbbells, straps, steps and mats for various weight and floor exercises.
