I retired from the U.S. Army Special Forces in 2007 after multiple combat tours and 20 years of honorable service. As a former Special Operations Team Leader, Drill Instructor and U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainer, I was adept at teaching large groups in topics ranging from physical fitness to guerrilla warfare. In light of my background and love for fitness, I received my first certification (BodyPump) with Les Mills in January 2006. Since that time, I have certified twice more with spinning and kickboxing. In 2012 I completed the requirements and am now recognized as an "Advanced Instructor" for kickboxing. Another milestone in 2012 was the development of a boxing/cardio-conditioning class called CRUSH. CRUSH provides each participant with their own heavy bag to hit, kick, elbow, etc.. and has been a huge success (classes currently selling out 45 days in advance). It's great to have the support of my spouse and this is something we both enjoy. My wife has 5 certifications and we often teach together. This adds a different element for the participants and has been warmly received. We believe this element may be a good fit with FitProTravel as well.
Aside from teaching fitness, I remain very active and still have the need for the almight adrenaline rush. I enjoy running half-marathons (both road & trail) and the adventure races (Tough Mudder & Spartan). One of my goals this year is to complete the Spartan Trifecta (proj. Aug 2013).
