I have been Irish dancing for the passed 9 years with my school, The Pomeroy Academy of Irish Dance. I have been doing choreography for equally as long and officially teaching for the passed 4 years. My duties include teaching kids and adults to dance, choreographing dance steps, performance numbers, and team ceiles, leading warm-ups, drills, strength-training exercises, cool-downs and stretches, and preparing beginner children and adults for competition. Along with this, my duties as a solo dancer include step memorization, practicing, perfecting, performing and competing. My competitive accomplishments have been consistent top 3 placings in the U18 Prizewinner category, and now recently progressed into Championship. I was also placed 28th in Western Canada at our regions 2009 National and World qualifiers. My love for Irish dance has not lowered or wavered slightly since first beginning classes, and I would now love to share my passion with your company and to the rest of the world, and hopefully spark something in another potential Irish dance lover.
