I have been a fitness enthusiast since college, when I first discovered aerobics. I enjoyed exercise classes so much that I decided to become a group fitness instructor. Beginning with aerobics, I quickly learned other formats and received certifications on most of them. With my accumulated knowledge I went on to become a personal trainer, and trained clients in the gym on a private basis, using free weights, nautilus and cardio equipment. Around this same time I began running as my cardiovascular exercise of choice, and entered the world of road races. Then I discovered pilates, and view it as a method of exercise that is safe, effective and good for life. I made a major career change, from accounting to the world of fitness, and opened my own studio in 2003, where I train clients in private and semi-private settings, and teach group mat and apparatus classes.
My personal fitness regimen includes running, strength training and pilates. I believe in fitness for life. My excitement in this career is evident everyday as I see the results in my clients bodies and attitudes towards good health.
I have taught in Breezes, Dominican Republic for Fit Bodies, Inc. several years ago, which was a fun and challenging experience. I hope to be able to do it again!
