As a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, I am excited to share my knowledge, experience, creative and enthusiastic approach to fitness and wellness! My fitness career began almost 10 years ago working as a part-time group exercise instructor at several fitness centers in the northwest corner of CT. I worked in the insurance industry full-time as a life insurance underwriter. About a year ago, I decided to pursure my passion for health and wellness, and am now the Strength & Wellness Specialist for my local YMCA. As an avid group exercise participant myself, I’ve had the opportunity to work and train with some of the best trainers in the area. Whether it be group exercise, or personal training, my goal is to energize and motivate our clients by using an engaging and creative approach. I believe in functional exercise which prepares the body to effectively perform day to day physical tasks, with a strong focus on injury and illness prevention. Most importantly, exercise should be enjoyable. If you like what you are doing, you will continue! I am well versed in a variety of disciplines, but my specialties lie within strength, endurance, and flexibility training.
