Health, nutrition and fitness are my passions. I grew up being a runner - Junior Olympian in high school and an NCAA Division I cross country runner in college. I worked in Corporate America and found a way to incorporate my love for fitness by forming corporate running teams at the companies I worked for. I obtained corporate sponsorship to run in local road races with the Corporate Challenge being the big finale of our corporate running year.
I am a single Mother of two daughters, ages 11 and 13. I am the Director of Group Fitness at Atlanta Fitness where I set the group fitness schedule, manage a team of 15-20 instructors, instruct group classes and hold a position as a personal trainer at the club. I have been a group fitness instructor for 7 years and a personal trainer for 3.5 years. I am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). I am certified to instruct group fitness classes through Les Mils International (LMI) and Body Training Systems (BTS). I instruct indoor cycling and weighted bar classes. I have also instructed 30-minute abs classes. I run boot camps through my company, Aspire Personal Fitness, LLC. I have run boot camps for over 3 years.
