YOGA BIO
I am a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. Hatha yoga is the ancient Indian system of physical postures and breathing exercises that balances the opposing masculine and feminine forces in the body, the "sun" and the "moon.
I have been a yoga enthusiast since 1994, both studying and teaching Hatha Yoga since 2002. Over the years many of my experiences were through the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, as well as through a variety of classes and workshops in Meditition, Hatha
Yoga, and Kriology,
I’ve taught in a variety of places that include yoga studios, health clubs, hospital, in the office, in schools, outdoors, and in private settings.
I enjoy the challenge that comes from the variety of students that find themselves on a mat ready and open to experience their first yoga class and still need to challenge those who are looking to deepen their practice. I also enjoy working with those with disabilities. I have worked with the visually impaired, cancer patients, and stroke patients.
As I work with my students I value each and every one of them for their uniqueness. I place an emphasis on self-empowerment and positive inner development, as well as taking responsibility for our own lives and actions.
