I love working out and being fit. I can't imagine it never being a part of my life. I feel very fortunate to be able to share my knowledge in helping others reach their fitness goals. Growing up my mom belonged to co-ops and limited our sugar, soda, processed foods in a good way (as opposed to the over bering type). Sugary cerals were a treat on camping trips. She was able to make home cooked meals. This instilled a healthy eating habits at an early age. My fitness love didn't start till the summer before my junior year in high school. I remember watching the summer Olympics and remember just thinking the athletes were amazing. So, I started running around my neighborhood. My mom definitely encouraged me since she had a marathon and triathlon under her belt from when I was a young child. Running around my neighborhood all summer made me want to join cross-country my junior year then swimming in the spring. The rest is pretty much history. After high school I joined cross-country at my junior college. I was never one of the top runners or swimmers, but I didn't care I just loved doing it. When I graduated high school my mom suggested when join a gym. I've been a member at this gym since I was 18 and I'm 30 now. I've been teaching their the past six years. I enjoy taking classes from my gym and other's in the area to get new ideas, I also love searching on the web for new information and music. I also enjoy taking fitness workshops to make sure I am staying current on what is new in the industry.
