- Melissa Snow
Melissa Snow started her career as a yogini with gymnastics at the age of six. This led her to excel in sport acrobatics at the age of twelve and competed in the United States National Acrobatics Championships in 1994 - 1996. This established her love for honoring and challenging her body - which ultimately lead her to yoga. For the last five years, she has been an active yogini and received her Yoga Teacher Training certification through the Marianne Wells Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica (April 2010).
Melissa founded a community yoga class called Yoga in the Park which connects nature to the practice of yoga and provides a cost accessible yoga class to her community. Additionally, she founded the Shanti Warriors Yoga project which empowers survivors of trauma by offering the tool of yoga for holistic healing. This program enables survivors to fully reconnect with their mind, body and spirit – allowing them to reclaim their lives and dreams.
