A pilates instructor since Feb. 2003, I have been instructing at a country club and a health and fitness club at twice weekly classes at each facility. For two years I also held classes at a local college, until funding ran out. The members I have served have varied backgrounds, fitness levels and ages. Modifying movements to accomodate various fitness levels or physical deficiencies allows member to work at their own level and still achieve benefits and fitness improvements. To keep the classes interesting and motivating the small hand balls, large stability balls and rings are used in conjunction with the Pilates Matwork program.
