When I first attended college at Brigham Young University I had planned on being a dance major. After 2 years of the program and completing general education requirements I met my husband who happened to be an ROTC graduate who was joining the Air Force and his first assignment was in Minot, North Dakota. After we were married I moved to Minot where they did not offer a Dance Education major, so I fell into what I thought was the next best thing: exercise science. I pursued a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Corporate Fitness while I was working at a local gym and had begun teaching group fitness classes. I decided that I had found what I am passionate about: health and fitness! After graduation I continued to teach and personal train at multiple gyms in town as well as coach the University Dance Team until we were reassigned to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have continued teaching all formats of group fitness, and have furthered my knowledge by gaining multiple certifications in group fitness, bodypump, kickboxing, and senior fitness classes, etc. I enoy helping my students reach their fitness goals, and pushing them to levels they never thought possible. The best feeling is positive feedback, and I aim to do that by making my classes challenging and new each and every time!
