Karin Ptaszek-Kochis

arin Ptaszek-Kochis, from Denmark and best known for her home country tennis achievements, came to the US in 1997 to attend school following a professional tennis career.  She graduated with honors from Brigham Young University in Hawaii where she majored in international business.  Later, while residing in Chicago, Karin would further her educational credentials by obtaining a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago.  Most recently, Karin got her teacher certificate from Immaculata University in Chester County to teach business, computer and information technology to any high school level and it is her dream to one day influence and teach young adults in the classroom.

 

 

 

Karin’s professional playing career is highlighted by 27 Danish national championships.  She was also a key member of the Danish Federation Cup team for 10 years where she played many top-ranked players, including Chris Evert Lloyd and Gigi Fernandez.  On the women’s tour, Karin got ranked in Top 300 in singles and doubles and won a total of two professional tournaments.

 

 

 

Karin currently teaches tennis at Tennis Addiction and Penn Oaks Tennis, both clubs located in PA.  As a newly certified USPTA member, Karin will celebrate her 10 year anniversary as a tennis professional in 2011 with many more years ahead for the love she loves so dearly. 

 

 

 

Karin resides in Downingtown, PA with her husband, Matt and two children.  She and her family are avid tennis players, golfers and paddle players.  Her favorite hobbies include spending time with family, reading and doing sports.  One of her favorite quotes is “live every day with purpose.”
