Nicole Smith is a holistic fitness trainer specializing in functional training for overa decade. With a background in ballet and modern dance, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Illinois, where she fell in love with the study of biomechanics, Alexander Technique, yoga, and improvisational dance. After college she moved to New York City and was certified in personal training throughthe National Academy of Sports Medicine, becoming the highest level personal trainer at Equinox NYC, where she worked for four years. She now works privately in client's homes and private gyms in NYC. Her extensive knowledge includes yoga, pilates, pre and post-natal training, rehabilitation training, posture training, Qi Gong, strength training, TRX training, and kettlebell training. Her sessions target individual needs and limitations to help clients of all ages and fitnes levels build up to their goals in a progressive and safe manner. Clients enjoy creative program design that progress and change over the years according to their needs and goals. Over the past few years she has studied Nuad Boran at the acclaimed International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and is now a Nuad Boran practitioner. She incorporates elements of these studies into her personal training, and does individual body work sessions. She completed a 500 hour yoga teacher training from Kusula Yoga in Brooklyn, New York,and 300 hour yoga teacher training from World Concious Yoga in Rishikesh, India. She is also an advace level certified Pilates Mat instructor. She teaches and trains with elite clients throught New York City. She has appeared on ABCs Good Morning America, has been featured in Time Out New York and The Inside Source, and contributes to Whole Living Magazine.
