Samantha holds a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Education from George Mason University. She taught high school biology and chemistry before staying home full-time with her children. Because of her own interest in exercise, she earned her personal trainer certification in 2005 through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She has been doing one on one and small group training ever since. She completed her first half Ironman this summer. She is training for Ironman Lake Placid in July 2010. She is the mother of three children (fifteen and eight year old girls and a twelve year old boy ), and with the support of her husband, Kevin, she has been able to dedicate time to her current athletic passion -- maintaining a high level of health and fitness by competing in road races and triathlons and teaching others to enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Samantha is a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association.
