Although I have been active my whole life - I rock climb at a 5.10B level, climb mountains, ski and play hockey and have practiced yoga my whole adult life - I came into the fitness world at 40. I decided to make a concerted effort to be my most fit body ever by the time I turned 40! I am now 47 and have been working very hard on this body. I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life! My physical fitness has noticed and I have been given a lot of work in the industry because of the hard work I have put into my own body. I feel that I represent a balanced, healthy and very fit woman in her 40's. It seems to have been a great inspiration for the women who come to my classes of fitness and yoga.
I feel that I am at a stage in life where ALL of my skills have come together!! My counselling background, my sports and outdoor recreation experiences, my own physical conditioning, and my practice of staying flexible with the yoga and calm with the mediation. I continually educate myself on diet and lifestyle. I eat a "Clean diet" and am educated in the principles of nutrition. I have a busy but balanced life and my health and well being are a result of this balance that I strive for.
I feel that I have a lot to offer clients of ALL ages. I am very comfortable in groups and public speaking, am TOTALLY comfortable outdoors and in a fitness or yoga studio.
I currently challenging the GROUP fitness instructor certification and should be recieving the confirmation very soon. I will be taking a course to certify myself in Kaiser cycling in the near future. I am always up grading and interested in future training and learning.
I would like this opportunity to bring more travel into my life so your organization has great appeal to me.
