From a young age and growing up with two older brothers north of Chicago, physical fitness and sports have always been a strong part of Jessica's life. Early on she found the pool; a world of water and great success in competitive swimming changed the course of her life and began her journey from student to instructor. Swimming transitioned into life-guarding and then morphed into teaching group exercise fitness class during her college days at Illinois State University. It was during college, in 2000, that she discovered yoga and teaching. After years of treating her long and tall frame improperly, she found yoga was the relief from her aches and pains. In addition to pain relief, she realized that she also loves teaching people to be graceful and move mindfully and beautifully.
From then on yoga and fitness have been a constant in her world, receiving her AFAA Group Exercise Certification and working for 24 Hour Fitness in all fitness formats from Turbo Kickboxing, Aqua, Cycle, Sculpt, Yoga and more! Jess then pursued her Registered Yoga Teacher Certification via CorePower in October 2005 and has since completed her ERYY (Experience Registered Yoga Teacher) certification.
Having played a role in multiple fitness establishments, Jessica is most excited about finding her home at CorePower, teaching Power Yoga and and Yoga Sculpt classes. She also has had the pleasure to be involved with many of CorePower's lifestyle programs including; LiveLEAN (33 day weight loss program) and BootCamp (2 weeks of intense workouts)... as well as power yoga teacher trainings."I love to teach and it's not hard to know why. Yoga and fitness is such a wonderful gift, so invite your friends and family and share this wonderful experience together.”
Enjoy your journey, every step and stone along the way…
