Macarena Corral

I started my yoga journey during graduate school while looking for a new way to exercise and manage my increasing stress and workload. However, I soon realized that the benefits of yoga go far beyond what I imagined.  Throughout the years of my personal practice I have noticed physical changes in my  strength and flexibility, but also changes in my life outside the studio. More than anything, yoga has taught me to find balance in my mind, daily activities, and career. My strong passion for yoga motivated me to get my teaching certificate and share my love of yoga with others. In the fall of 2010 I completed the Corepower Vinyasa and Sculpt Teacher Training programs. Through teacher training I not only gained the skills to teach yoga, but I also learned so much about myself , how to live yoga off the mat, and found an amazing yoga community that I am so honored to be a part of.

Outside of yoga, I am a Doctor in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Trauma and Forensic Psychology. I have worked primarily with sexual assault and domestic violence victims and perpetrators, adults and children. In my practice I emphasize the mind/body connection and frequently incorporate meditation, breathing, and visualizations into my therapy practice. I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
