I started teaching group fitness classes while I was a college student. I had always been passionate about dance, exercise and health. I loved that teaching highly choreographed step and aerobic classes allowed me to combine those passions. The gym where I taught brought spinning to the schedule and I loved the workout so much that I went on to get my Johnny g. Certification so that I could add cycle to my teaching schedule. While I was in graduate school pursuing my Masters Degree in Social Work I decided to also work on my Personal Training certification so that I could help clients one on one and also teach sculpting classes. After the birth of my first child I took some time off of my full time job and realized that I wanted to make health and fitness my full time career. In 2004 I took my first Pilates class and became an avid student of Pilates Reformer. I loved the mind body awareness the exercises instilled and my back was pain free for the first time since having kids. I enrolled in the Intensive Stott Pilates Instructor Training Program so that I could pass these benefits on to others. Presently I teach Pilates Reformer classes in two different studios as well as Mat. I also teach cycle regularly and continue to sub a wide range of other classes.
