I have always been interested in fitness and health. 10 years ago I had the opportunity to experience exotic dance for fitness through a local community education class and added it to my weekly fitness regime. This type of movement is so natural for a woman's body, and because it works multiple muscle groups at once it is an effecient, effective method of exercise creating fast results. Pole Fitness incoporates exotic dance but also strength/resistance work for the upper body by incorporating spins and tricks. I became certified in Pole Fitness to ensure I was teaching it properly, and in 2008 opened a 2400 square foot studio in Wisconsin to share these unique, fun and effective forms of fitness. I have over 100 ladies a week that take classes and have recently opened a 2nd studio and a 3rd is coming in early 2011. I have never danced 'in the industry' although may professional dancers have come to my classes to learn new techniques. We do are not about teaching moves to 'perform' - and do not use the word 'sexy' but rather 'sassy'. Because yoga is a good compliment to any fitness program I became certified in Yoga Sculpt (vinyassa flow yoga that incorporates the use of small hand weights) so that students could build a base of flexibility and strength for their fitness program. I am a sensitive, encouraging, personable and professional instructor that can inspire women to do their best and try new things that may be a bit out of their comfort zone.
