About Food Sport International SUZY MONFORD Suzy Monford is the President of Food Sport International based in Melbourne, AU and San Antonio, TX, since January 2009. Ms. Monford is an international consultant with expertise in strategic operations, change management, marketing, product brokerage and brand development, and healthy eating programs for supermarkets, restaurants, and fitness companies. Prior to founding Food Sport International, she worked as an executive for H.E. Butt Grocery Company and H-E-B Central Market as the Director of Deli, Cheese and Prepared Foods, and Director of Foodservice/Bakery respectively from 2001-2009. During her tenure at H-E-B, Ms. Monford designed and implemented new business models and brands, including in-store cafes, lines of own brand prepared foods, global artisan cheese shop and team member training, in addition to leading the company’s change the business initiatives for range assortment and in-store scratch production. Prior to H-E-B, Ms. Monford was Chief Operating Officer for Cheers Inc., d.b.a. Ez’s Brick Oven & Grill Restaurants in Texas. Ms. Monford holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and in addition to her innovation work for supermarkets in Australia and Canada, consults with a leading wellness centre in London, England, on business development strategies and café operations. Endeavoring to lead “real health care” in the community via teaching her “Fit Kitchen” programs for the YMCA and the San Antonio Sports “Fit Family Challenge”, Ms. Monford also teaches group exercise classes for Gold’s Gym, The YMCA and Spectrum Athletic Clubs.
