Hi, my name is Emma McMillan. I am a 20 year old enthusiastic, energetic person who loves being active day in and day out. I have been playing sports my whole life and began to teach fitness professionally in 2008. I have been working as a Fitness Instructor at the University of Waterloo for the past 3 years teaching a variety of group fitness classes including: bootcamp, total muscle conditioning, flex, core and cycle fit. I am also a member of the Universities varsity woman's ice hockey team, and am currently in third year studying Kinesiology. During University I have currently held two amazing Co-op jobs. The first placement I worked as a Wellness Assistant for Older adults, where i ran group fitness classes and did one on one training. My last placement I completed at the Ontario Police Collage as a Physical Training Instructor. There I worked as a Personal Trainer, Group Instructor, and Teacher. Most of the workouts that we completed with the Police Recruits were geared towards their work-style which includes high intensity, powerful, explosive moves. We therefore completed many cross-fit and interval training workouts. I am currently training for a 30km run, have just recently completed the 'Insanity' training program and love to mountain bike and stay fit. This past December I summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and am looking forward to the next adventure that comes my way.
