I started out as a nursing student and was attracted to fitness because I saw the medical benefits of exercise. I was shy and never athletic growing up so I stayed away from exercise. My physicain insisted that I begin an exercise program to reduce my blood sugar. I have not had a problem since. It was during this time that I made the connection between health and fitness. I was drawn to the fitness industry because I saw that exercise could do so much more for people than just give you a nice physique. It can be used to improve overall health by strengthening the systems of the body. As a direct result I became a certified personal trainer and shortly after that I attained my certification as a group fitness instructor. Over the past ten years I have helped numerous individuals to surpass their fitness goals. I enjoy watching the the excitement in the faces of my clients when they see how far they have progressed. I love working with people. It gives me great satisfaction to help improve the health and fitness of those I work with while helping to improve their qualities of life.
