Kathy Ramirez

Kathy J. Ramirez, RYT Kathy Ramirez is from Seneca, South Carolina in the United States. Kathy began her professional career as a Chapter Development Consultant for Kappa Delta Sorority in which she worked with women on such items as self-esteem, risk-management, chapter development, membership, and finances. Once her term was completed, Kathy moved on to work for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Primary Healthcare Representative focusing on cardiovascular, respiratory, and urinary medications. While with Pfizer, Kathy received her fitness instructor certificate from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and her spinning certification from Mad Dogg Athletics and began teaching spinning, kickboxing, aerobics, and sculp classes. While with Corporate America Kathy realized that motivating and working with others was her true passion. In 2007 Kathy resigned from Pfizer and began her own business as a Personal and Business Coach working with individuals and groups on communication, strategy, leadership, and teambuilding skills. While coaching, Kathy began getting more involved with fitness by getting her personal trainer certification from AFFA and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). In 2009, in an effort to get out of her comfort zone, Kathy moved to Wellington, NZ with her husband to enjoy working and living in a different country. While in New Zealand, Kathy decided to focus completely on fitness by becoming a Personal Trainer and Team Training Instructor at Les Mills to help others achieve life balance through fitness regimens and goal setting. After 6 years in the fitness industry, in order to maintain a holistic training approach, Kathy decided to get her Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Hot Yoga of New Zealand. Kathy has been an advocate for yoga over the past 8 years when she began her own practice as a way to stay injury free in endurance events such as half marathons and triathlons. Her yoga practice quickly turned into a way to go deeper within to reduce stress and to overcome obstacles in life. Now, as a yoga teacher and personal trainer, Kathy incorporates her knowledge about fitness and mind/body health to guide her students to work the body not only from the outside, but from a deeper place within.
