Kim Smith

Kim Smith is a certified Yoga Teacher as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher ( R.Y.T.) through the International Yoga Alliance.  She was formally trained in Thailand under the world renowned Zen Master Shakti Mhi receiving her Prana Yoga Zen Centre Certification.  She also holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario ( Canada).  Having an athletic background in soccer, Krav Maga, weight-training, flying trapeze and running, she recognizes that most of today's activities involve a constant pounding of joints which makes Yoga an important tool in developing a well-balanced lifestyle.  Yoga postures ( asanas) create balance and increase strength, flexibility and cardiovascular levels, while breathing exercises increase stamina and focus.  While utilizing a balance of humour and physical intensity, her teaching style emphasizes safe alignment and core strength while combining challenging modern exercises with traditional yoga postures.
