I love to teach yoga and pilates classes as well as a fusion class, or piyoga. I lead beginning to intermediate classes, and enjoy integrating a challenge for the class participants. I am very careful to avoid asanas that may cause injury or seem too intense for the level of my class, and I teach by watching the class individuals for their level of fitness. I modify for anyone that needs it and and feel I present a challenging class. I ask at the beginning of class if there are any injuries, and I present poses and stretches that will help those areas of injury. After breathing techniques and warm up, the bulk of class is a flow of asanas and strength moves. I end class with 8-10 minutes of relaxation and breath awareness. I keep class focused and soothing and moving along, for a traditional and clean yoga class (or pilates). I have experience with one on one classes as well as large groups.
