- Grew up in Maine
- Graduated from Brunswick High School 1964
- Spent two years active duty in Army
- Moved to Michigan 1966
- Married 1968, resulting in three children and now five grandchildren
- Attended Flint JC and worked for Keebler Biscuit Company for two years
- Hired into General Motors as Production worker, after nine months promoted to a salary supervisor position, promoted to General Supervisor and finally to Manufacturing Superintendant until retirement in 2002
- Hired in as an indoor cycling instructor at Genesee Valley Tennis Center in 2001 and Genesys Athletic Club in 2007
- Group Leader for the Crim Fitness Foundation Adult Training Program for Runners and Walkers since 1995
- Elected to Crim Fitness Foundation Board of Directors 2010
- Avid Runner until having Bi-lateral hip replacement in 2006 (no side affects), Avid Speed Walker, Downhill and Crosscountry Skier, indoor/outdoor cyclist, golfer, Yoga and Ballroom Dancer
