I am a vibrant, energetic and compassionate lover of yoga, fitness and life. I have been practicing yoga for the past 25 years and teaching for the last 5 years. I have always appreciated the mind body connection and experienced it profoundly in my years as a nurse. I have loved all that yoga brings to an individual and love teaching all types of students each week. I completed my 200 RYT and teach several classes weekly from very beginner to intermediate and prenatal students. I love the challenge of modifying my asanas so every student in my class can experience a sense of success and confidence in my class. My medical background has enhanced my ability to teach safely and I see several clients weekly for private classes. Those students have health issues that keep them from attending a group class but individually we are able to work on strength, balance and movement in a safe and protective manner.
I am a co-owner of two yoga studios and my partners and I have grown our business in the past 4 years in spite of the economic struggles of our area. We are entrepreneurs and love the challenges of business development. I manage one of our locations predominately as well as do creative writing for our programs. I am a very creative individual and love the process of writing, teaching and watching our work change lives.
I have lived in Nebraska the majority of my life but I love to travel and I am a gypsy at heart. I make friends easily and have never met a stranger. I want to see every corner of the world and to teach yoga along the way is a great blessing. I have two children, Molly 21 and Colton 18. They are joyful and loving people who also love fitness and travel. I feel so very fortunate to have shared my life with them and they make me very proud every day.
