Tammy Jackson

In 1997, after struggling with severe back pain, Tammy was introduced to yoga as a potential remedy—and it changed her life. Not only did yoga alleviate her pain, but it also helped her build physical and mental strength, improve overall fitness, and lose 10 pounds. Inspired by these life-changing results, she pursued her first yoga certification through YogaFit in 1999 and began teaching soon after. She went on to open her own successful yoga studio in a small Indiana town and later earned her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification in 2006. After three years of running the studio, she relocated to Los Angeles for work and now lives in Marina del Rey, California. Her passion for movement continued to grow, leading her to obtain licenses in Zumba, Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba in 2008, followed by certifications in PiYo in 2012 and Pound Fit—a dynamic blend of Pilates-based movement and drumming to rock music. In 2017, she earned her Pilates certification, and today, she enjoys teaching Pilates, yoga, and group fitness full time, sharing her love of wellness and movement with others.
