I joined the Wheels Fitness gym in Chatham, Ontario (Canada) in the late ‘80s as a way to keep fit and became hooked on exercise. I participated in group exercise classes that were the hot exercises of that time…aerobics, Step, Spin and Pump. Liking this so much, I decided to work on my Group Exercise Fitness instructor certification and then started to lead the Spin and Pump classes at the Wheels.  When the Wheels closed, I then joined Competitive Edge Fitness gym where there was only a limited variety in the group exercise classes being offered. Becoming older and needing to change my exercise regime to a lower impact workout, I decided to become certified to lead Yoga classes and took the course offered by EasttoWest Yoga Studio in Toronto, Canada. Some months later to add variety to my workout, I took the Pilates instructor course also offered by EasttoWest Yoga. Most evenings, you can find me at Competitive Edge Fitness in Chatham where I lead Yoga based stretch classes, Spin, Core workout (Pilates based) and Pump (weight based exercise) classes.
