Shirley Murphy

I am 48 years old and have a passion for inspiring people to "just move" through Zumba.  The great thing about Zumba is it allows people to move to their own fitness level and the music is infectious.  Initially with Zumba, I dropped 30+ pounds and won a "Challenge - Biggest Loser" competition at a local fitness club.  I was a cheerleader in High School and Zumba has allowed me to keep active and encourage people to do their best, much like cheer-leading.  I love traveling and at a recent Zumba Gold (geared for the active older adult or those new to a fitness routine) training I heard about this website and was very excited to check it out.  By day I am the Clinic Director for Eye Associates of NM, and by night and weekends a Zumba "Inspiring" Instructor.
