In training for the ironman i began taking spinning classes to get time on the bike when weather wasn't cooperating. After returning from the race I decided I needed to give back, and channel my energy and love for music into teaching. With my love for teaching I took the shotgun approach applying everywhere I could, accepting the first three positions, often teaching at all three on a given saturday.
My new job took me Richmond, VA and keeps me on the road. I am currently a rotational substitute for Golds and a Regular instructor for the YMCA.
My instructing style is my taking outdoor riding into the studio. I challenge my participants with sprints and mountainous hills, while distracting them with an eclectic mix of music. In every class I goal to play 4 different types of songs 1. Something you just heard, 2. Something you haven't heard in a while, 3. Something you have never heard and 4. Something Ethnic.
