I am a mother of three and an immigration attorney who has been bitten by the fitness bug.
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in 2008. I was already trying to get back into shape after surgeries including 3 c-sections. I was attempting to start back to completing Couch to 5k because it was effective in the past, but my doctor suggested low impact activities.
First, I began to focus on aquatic fitness. Then over time, I began to try different formats, Body for Life, Body Pump, training on Cybex Arc trainer. I discovered Zumba and I was hooked. I began planning my life AROUND Zumba classes. Zumba has energized me and FEEDS my spirit. People who haven't seen me say that I look like a different person.
Next, I became licensed to teach several Zumba formats: Zumba basic, Toning, Aqua, Gold, Gold-Toning, Zumba Kids & Kids Jr. (kids) and Sentao. Now, I am a Zumbaholic and I encourage people to continue their fitness journey with me as we all take baby steps daily to be healthier and more fit than the day before.
I am an AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor (since 2011).
I am also 200 HR RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher - since January of 2014). I am also registered with Yoga Alliance.
I have also trained to teach SilverSneakers (Classic, Circuit and Yoga - April 2014).
In August 2014, I became a AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) certified aqua fitness instructor.
I look forward to connecting to guests and helping them make memories.
