Diane has been actively involved in the Health and Fitness industry from the burgeoning days of the fitness ‘craze’. After nearly 8 years of critical care nursing Diane made the decision to explore other avenues of the wellness field. She initially instructed many of the original high energy, high impact classes in several of the well known aerobic based clubs in Toronto at that time, including the Adelaide Club. It was there that Diane built and managed a team of high caliber instructors in addition to creating a wide variety of classes to meet the needs of the diverse clientele. Her success led to a unique opportunity to teach at their affiliated and exclusive private men’s club, The Cambridge Club.
As the fitness industry has evolved, Diane has continued to stay current and at times has been on the leading edge of some of the latest methods for keeping particpants active, healthy and engaged. She was one of the first to be certified in Schwin cycling; group-ex boxing and resistance-ball training. In the last few years Diane has also completed a 400 hour yoga teacher training course which focuses on the more traditional aspects of yoga: working with the intent to connect mind, body and soul and understanding meditiation. More recently she has completed the Pilates Mat Certification and the Pilates Reformer Intensive Certification through Body Harmonics.
In addition to teaching, Diane is also the Director of Research for a well established Senior Executive Search firm in Toronto, McCracken & Partners. To learn more of her corporate experience please go to www.mccracken-partners.com
