I have been interested in fitness since I was young due to involvement in competitive gymnastics up until my Freshman year of college. I continued with fitness classes and dance as a participant until 2 years ago when I decided to get certified in group fitness instruction. My decision was based on the fact that I love to stay in shape and feel good about myself...I wanted to pass this feeling onto others. I am also a cancer survivor with tons of energy and like to be an example to others that fitness can help you through the hard times. I am currently NETA certified for group fitness instruction as well as Zumba certified as a Zin member for over a year. I have been teaching step, toning, kickbox, aqua and cycling for 2 years and Zumba for 1 year. I teach 4 Zumba classes a week with attendance in several classes regularly over 30 people one class with 70 people. Two of my classes are smaller classes for beginner Zumba participants. I also teach a weekly kickbox/combat class and a weekly step/tone interval class using varied equipment such as bosu, weights, medicine balls, and stability balls. I have taught Zumba for cancer survivors as well as classes for people who have told me I was their motivation for losing weight.
