I am a 40something year "young", nurse, mother, wife, exercise instructor who has spent my entire life "working hard" and enjoying life! 4 yrs ago, I decided I wanted to do something besides "push pills" and tell people they need to exercise and lose weight, but with no ideas or options to offer them..... so I decided to study and become a certified personal trainer and obtained this through the NSCA. Life was busy and it took me a year to really pursue much else other than working with a few coworkers and friends one on one, but then I took a pole dancing class with some girls friends at MISSPOLE which was new in our area, and they were looking for instructors, so I learned as I taught, and loved giving women a fun and new way to get fit and feel great and sexy , no matter what their body shape or age. What a great workout! I also became certified with Arthritis exercise so that I could better help those people I see everyday in my nursing career. I then was hired by our local rec program to teach older adult fitness, and then branched out into teaching adult fitness to those 18 and older. I love the fact that I can stay in shape and also inspire others...what a great job! And I love the independence of creating my own classes and always finding new and exciting workouts as well as great music to work out with. My husband and I have been vacationing frequently to many resorts and warm places for the past 9 years and I love to take classes and exercise at these resorts and learn from others. Most recently I was at a resort in Mexico where I took a boot camp class from one instructor and also met a women who was there through Fitbodies, inc which she inspired me become involved .
