Hi! My name is Emily, and I am passionate about health, wellness, and group fitness! I believe that movement should be JOYFUL, and if someone doesn’t enjoy moving, they just need help finding what’s right for them. I love sharing my love of movement with others and helping them find their love too!
I graduated from UW-Platteville in May 2014 with my B.S. in Biology, and I completed my Master's in Applied Exercise Science through Concordia University Chicago in May 2016. I currently work as a Fitness Producer for Talent and Training at Johnson Health Tech North America. I recruit and train fitness instructors to lead on-demand workouts.
I have been teaching group exercise classes since 2010. In 2018, I earned my 200-RYT Certification, and I have been teaching yoga in a variety of capacities ever since. I became SUP Yoga certified in the summer of 2021, and I really enjoy combining the practice of yoga with the beautiful outdoors. I consider yoga my specialty and where I focus my teaching, but I am able to teach almost any format across the board!
I am a certified personal trainer through NASM, and I earned my CSCS through NSCA in May 2016. I have been through many trainings over the last 13+ years including Zumba (including Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Kids/Zumba Kids Jr., and Zumba Sentao), Les Mills BodyPump, Core (formally CXWorX), and Grit, as well as Barre Above, and Schwinn Cycling. Other previous certifications include PiYo, TurboKick, Kettlebell AMPD, and AMPD Power Flow. I have also taught Aqua and Cardio Kickboxing in the past. I am also a NASM-CPT, AFAA-CGEI, and NSCA-CSCS. I love working in the fitness industry and helping people to reach their goals! I am truly passionate about what I do, and it shows everytime I teach a group fitness class.
