My love for fitness and nutrition started at a young age. I joined the swim team when I was 4 and have been running since I was 14.
I went to school to study nutrition and was always a competitive athlete. I qualified for the Boston Marathon on my first marathon and was very humbled when I had to walk 20 miles of the 26.2 mile marathon when so many people were cheering for me. I had IT band tendonitis - I realized I was only a runner and knew nothing about strength training, much less the importance of core strength. When I got back in town I hired a personal trainer and it was such a positive experience I decided to become one myself.
I have been a personal trainer for 4 years now - specializing in core strength, functional movement and high intensity exercise. I have been very successful with my clients because of my background in nutrition and my willingness to listen.
I still race triathlons and marathons competitively and am going back to Boston this year!
