- Terry Bowers
Terry Bowers has been in the fitness industry since the late 70’s. Terry is internationally certified in personal training, group exercise by the American Council on Exercise, nutrition counseling by American Fitness Professionals and Associates and Zumba. She has trained at American University and has been a guest professor at George Washington University. Her insights and explanations use current research, much of it garnered from the science community within NIH making the information both interesting and relevant. Her presentations become interactive group performances engaging the audience in a multi-media presentation using music, movement and humor. She makes health and wellness fun and entertaining - most recently she was invited up on stage to dance with Chuck Berry at his October 2010 performance at Strathmore by members of his band who have worked with her for many years. “The girl’s got brains and moves, a lethal combination that makes you move and think” comments Daryl Davis, keyboard player for Chuck Berry. “I’m a big fan!” Susan Johnson of NIDCR stated “I’ve taken a lot of exercise/fitness classes over the years… Some of those instructors could match her energy level, but none of them were as knowledgeable and safety-oriented…” and Andi Cimino of NINR says “Terry’s suggestions are better than Advil.” Get ready to enjoy the experience for yourself; a fun and interactive way that will get you wanting to be healthy.
