I have always battled with weight and one day I had a transformation of my mind experience. My girlfriend was running a half marathon and I was only suppose to go and support her, but ended up running, walking, skipping, my first half marathon. My life was never the same after that. I started with exercising but I still battled with my weight because I wasn't eating properly. So after making up my mind that I wanted something different for my physical well being. I started going to nutrition counseling and classes. I wanted this more than anything. It was a difficult journey replacing bad foods with good foods, eating the correct portion sizes, and still working out. It wasn't until I had a light bulb experience that eating right & exercising was essential for my well being.
While on my health and fitness journey I fell into a Zumba class. What an experience! I had taken many dance and exercise classes but Zumba was different. No one class was ever the same and I was burning over 700 calories per class. Zumba helped me lose weight that I had been trying for years to lose and I am still loosing weight every workout. Zumba is fun, exciting, and effective. After leaving Zumba your body, mind, and soul feel great. I am still on my journey working out daily, eating healthy, and ensuring that I stay on course. Zumba was the best workout I ever tried.
