Jerry Hughes

The resume that I have enclosed with this application introduces a lifetime educator and administrator with a Doctor of Education Degree specializing in Physical Eduction and Sport Management. I have taught on every educational level, elementary through higher education. During this experience I have taught Health, Physical Education, Weight Training, Fitness For Life and Athletic Management. I have also been an administrator for over 20 years. In July of 2010 I retired and have become a Certified Spinning Instructor and a Bicycle Travel Leader. Although technically a senior citizen I am in excellent physical condition. I am also an experienced teacher and motivator. I have designed Spinning classes for beginners and senior citizens. Since retiring  I have lead bicycle tours for the Adventure Cycling Association. This past summer I lead a ride from Santa Fe New Mexico to Boulder Colorado crossing the Continental Divde 3 times.  I am a cancer suvivor and having as much fun as I possibly can in my golden years.  My classes are educational and designed for all participants to have fun and to ride within ther comfort zone and fitness level.
