Joann J. Pinto
Joann (Jo) J. Pinto is the Deputy Director, Facilities Management at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base. She manages the $17 million Facilities’ O&M budget for the largest Air Force medical treatment facility, with a staff of 4500, encompassing 66 buildings in several locations totaling 2.1 million square feet and valued at $480 million to include clinics at Kelly USA, Brooks City Base, Camp Bullis, and Central North side Clinics.
Jo Pinto was born inBenton Harbor,Michigan. She attendedLake MichiganCollege on an Art Scholarship, where she received her Associates in Art in 1991.She then attendedWesternMichiganUniversity, where she majored in Interior Design with a minor in Military Science. She graduated in 1994 and was commissioned as a 2LT in the United States Army, where she served as a Health Facilities Officer in the Medical Service Corps until 2001. In 2001, she left active duty to settle down inSan Antonio,TX. This is where her Civil Service career began. Since 2001, Mrs. Pinto has been the Interior Design Base level and Hospital level. While serving as the Hospital Interior Designer in the Facilities Management office; her leadership abilities were recognized and she was promoted to the Deputy Director of Facilities Management.
She is married to Jose P. Pinto and they have three children; Camielle, Jacob, and Emma.
