Amanda is a certified Hatha yoga instructor. She has completed her 200 hr training at Montreal’s YogaBliss Studio with Dr. Bali. The Bali Method is a program that aims to rejuvenate the body through sensations of effort coupled with relaxation, in order to heal disorders caused by stress and tension. In its natural state the body is self-sufficient. It contains a technology unto itself that functions with infinite wisdom. As our lives take on a faster pace and we take less time to nourish the body, stress and poor diet begin to interfere with the natural capacity of the body, potentially leading to ill health. Through the use of gentle breathing techniques (pranayama), dynamic corporeal movements (asanas), and deep relaxation, we can bring our bodies to their normal activity levels and remobilize the systems of the body in order to sustain emotional and physical health. ___ Aware of the body’s varied needs in different life stages, Amanda’s classes are tailored and modified to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual requirements of different groups. Her goal is to bring the joys and benefits of yoga to as many people as possible in ways that resonate with them and restores the health, energy, and sense of inner tranquility in each of the participants. For this reason, Amanda has also completed: Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training & Certification for Conscious Birthing with Vancouver’s Janice Clarfield.
