Larissa Lemp

Larissa Lemp is a 1998 graduate of Susquehanna University with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Secondary Education.  She began her teaching career that same year teaching science, mathematics, and technology at Le Chatelard, a private school for girls located in Les Avants, Switzerland.  Since then, she has accumulated classroom experience in middle and high school science and technology, having taught physics both face to face and online since 2001. 

 In 2002, Larissa earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Integrating Technology in Schools from George Mason University.  Currently, she is working toward a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology through the development and implementation of The Online Academy.  Larissa also achieved in 2004 certification by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Adolescent and Young Adult Science - Physics.

 In addition to serving Loudoun County Public Schools at Tuscarora High School, Larissa is an assistant coach for the Tuscarora Cross Country team, is the point TRT for Health and PE  Fitness Test Reporting, a member of the TRT Advisory Board,  an online mentor, designer, and administrator for George Mason University Technology Integration Programs: ITSOLC, TOAT, and The Online Academy Physics and Earth Science Courses and a facilitator and Candidate Support Provider for the Loudoun County Public Schools National Board Certification Awareness and Support program.

When not in front of a computer or teaching, Larissa can be found on her deck with her husband and two dogs, running and cycling on the W&OD or at Old Town Athletic Club in Warreton in a Yoga, Pilates, and/or Tai Chi class.
