Matt Fenichel

Matt Fenichel was has been a cyclist and skier since his earliest days.  Discovering the world on two wheels was well underway by the time Matt was 10, by the time he was 14, he had led his first bicycle trip for the YMCA.  In his fourteenth year, Matt led separate groups of cyclist across Cape Cod, along the Hudson River in upstate New York and through the Amish Country of Pennsylvania for the YMCA.  By the age of 16 Matt was an accomplished bike mechanic and rider.  At the age of 17 Matt and a variety of friends set out on what would ultimately be his first of so far four bike rides across the nation.

At the same time, Matt's skills and accomplishments as a skier were growing.  Matt also achieved substantial competitive status in downhill and freestyle skiing through his teen years and twenties.

More recently Matt rediscovered his own passion for cycling and discovered a passion for fitness as part of his research project to uncover effective non-drug therapies for combating obesity and depression.  It was through this project that Matt's research led him to study and eventually become certified as a hypnotist through what is highly regarded as the most accredited program in the nation, HTI.

It is Matt's own interest and intrigue with innovation that keeps him looking for new and innovative better ways to enhance and grow both his own and others wellness and fitness, both in mind and body.

To that end Matt has become involved in the world of Suspension, Rebound, Bounce, and Rotational training, earning certification in each, and acclaim for his innovative programs utilizing them in combination with one another.

Matt has made it his mission to spread the word about indoor cycling that is more than typical "SPINNING" or "RPM" programming.  On the forefront of hand or "Krank" cycling, Matt is amongst the first to incorporate UBRE (Upper body rotational exercise), and row cycling into fitness programs for those at all fitness levels, as they may apply.

Matt is a fan of comedy and also believes in the concept that laughter is one of the best medicines.  A practiced laughmiester, Matt practices both comedy and improv performance, and takes those lessons learned into his fitness programming.   As in many hands make for a lighter load, Matt advocates for the concept that many laughs ease the intensity of the workout.

For enjoyable and innovative individual, group, adventure, indoor or outdoor fitness Matt is the one you want to lead you to wellness and fitness.   Matt can be reached at 860.716.1156
