Philosophy:

 

The practice of Yoga develops the physical body, nurtures emotional balance and encourages the use of the intellect.  It is the art of being in the movement each moment and taking on the challenges of the postures instead of avoiding them.

 

 

 

 

Benefits:

 

The benefits of yoga are three fold.  Physical - improving ones balance, building strength & endurance and increasing flexibility.  Mental - enhancing the ability to focus, encouraging students to be present in the moment and to take notice of the details  of life that surround us.  Finally intellect -the practice of yoga promotes acceptance of self and others, provides an awareness of individual abilities and empowers each student to make healthy decisions for themselves.

Experience with Vinyasa (one breath one movement), Master Flow (Sun Salutations & seated postures) & Slow Flow

 

·            Focused on teaching the physical practice of yoga through breathe and movement

 

·            Comfortable & experienced teaching at all student levels and age groups

 

·            Continuing teaching development through other yoga therapies and practices

Currently employed through the Waterford Christian Association &  The Brickhouse Gym, Powerhouse (sub) and Volunteer for the Danielle Karmanos 2009 "Work it Out" Summer enrichment program for the Boys & Girls Club of America
